'The Original RSA'

The Christchurch Memorial Returned and Services Association was originally formed in Christchurch as ‘The Returned Soldiers Club’ on 14 December 1915 by the first wounded Veterans returning home from Gallipoli and the other battlefields of World War 1. It is the first and oldest RSA in New Zealand and as such it is the parent of the RNZRSA movement in New Zealand.

The RSA is located its original site at 74 Armagh St in the Central City.

 The Mission of the Christchurch Memorial RSA is to;

Create an RSA motivated by compassioncourage and comittment to the Advocacy and Support of former and serving personnel and their families during reintergration into civilliam life and beyond.


RSA Administration and Support Office Hours:

With the advent of the New Year and with our need to close the building

we have now moved to a digital office.

The Office hours are between 10:00am and 2:00pm
